The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) rose by 18.07 points on Monday, the first trading day of the week, to close at 2,560.84 points.

With this, the stock market closed in the green for the fourth consecutive day. Market volatility remained low with the market reaching the day’s low at 2,542.46 points while it hit the highest of 2,565.85 points within the first one and a half hours.

The trading amount increased moderately, to Rs 3.83 billion from Rs 3.46 billion on the previous day. Among individual companies, the prices of 195 companies increased, 79 decreased and four remained stable.

The non-life insurance group rose by the most by 2.09 percent (194.23 points). Of 11 gainers, manufacturing and processing also added three-digit points. Finance and trading groups plunged by 9.90 points and 3.03 points, respectively.

The price of Pure Energy increased the most by 15 percent, followed by Similarly, Ganapati Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha with 7.35 percent and Srinagar Agritech Industries with 6.26 percent. Emerging Nepal, Sindhu Bikas Bank and Janaki Finance fell by 15 percent.

The companies with the most transactions were Reliance Spinning Mills (Rs 252.16 million), Garima Bikas Bank (Rs 178.81 million) and Solu Hydropower (Rs 162.70 million).
