The government has granted permission for the construction of three transmission lines so far in the current fiscal year. The Department of Electricity Development, under the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation, has issued construction approval for the Nalgad-Maintada transmission line, which is considered important for connecting the electricity from the Bheri Corridor to the national grid.

The transmission line is 75 kilometers long.

According to the department, the 400 kV transmission line will be capable of transmitting electricity equivalent to 2,400 megawatts. The National Transmission Grid Company is constructing the line.

Similarly, permission has also been granted for the construction of the Khorunga Khola transmission line with a capacity of 33 kV. The transmission line will be 4.38 kilometers long and will transmit 4.8 megawatts of electricity. It is being constructed to connect the electricity generated from the hydropower project to the national grid.

Likewise, Super Sardi Khola Hydropower is also constructing a 3.68-kilometer-long transmission line with a capacity of 33 kV to connect the electricity it produces to the national grid. The transmission line will carry 2.9 megawatts of electricity.

The department has so far issued permits for the construction of a total of 274 small and large transmission lines.

Similarly, survey permits have been issued for the construction of a total of eight transmission lines so far in the current fiscal year. Among these projects is the 132 kV Chameliya.

Permission has been granted for the construction of the Beldiya Solar Power Project, the Phalekhu Khola 132 kV Transmission Line Project, the Janaki Solar Power Transmission Line, the Dudhkoshi Fifth 220 kV Transmission Line Project, and the Samundratar-Lapsephedi 232 kV Transmission Line.

Likewise, there are the Dadakheti–Burtibang 132 kV Transmission Line and the Sani Bheri 132 kV Transmission Line projects. So far, the department has granted survey permission for a total of 144 transmission line constructions.

Similarly, the department has so far received applications for survey permits for a total of 21 transmission line projects. Among them, 11 projects have applied for permission in the current fiscal year alone.
